Brief Departmental Profile:
The Department of Physics started functioning in 2005 with General Physics course. In the year 2008 Honours in Physics is also started. The department now offers three years degree in Pass and Honours Courses. We are constantly trying to provide better facility for practical classes along with theory to the students as well as a good environment for their study.
Vision:
Building a solid foundation in basic academic knowledge for the students is our prime vision with a strong emphasis on practical aspects of the knowledge for the benefit of our society. We continually encourage and help students to actively participate and get engage in practical work related to the theory learned in the classes. As a future provision we are looking forward to avail a well suited computer Laboratory for our students for project and computer related work.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AT ENTRY LEVEL :
For admisson in Physics Honours, the candidate should have passed H.S in science without compertmental in physics.
A general candidate is eligible to apply in Physics Honours course if he/she has secured in H.S or equivalent exam. 40% or above in average along with atleast 45% marks in Physics or 35 % in average and 50 % in Physics.
Candidate should have passed in Mathematics.
Selection would be on merit basis subject to the fulfillment of the state government reservation policy.
